Sexual Health
Research Study
Many infections are easier to treat when they’re found early, but today’s tests still need to be faster and more accurate. To help improve future testing, researchers need real samples from sexually active adults to better understand how these infections appear in the body. This study will collect anonymous samples to support that work, and while it won’t provide test results, the team can guide participants to places that offer free and reliable STI testing.

In‑Lab Activities
If you join the study, you will come in for one brief visit. During this visit, a trained staff member will collect a small set of anonymous biological samples. You may also answer a few simple questions about your health or daily habits. No scans or long tests are involved, and nothing will be recorded on video or audio. The visit is designed to be quick, private, and comfortable.
At‑Home Activities
There are no required at‑home tasks for this study. You will not need to complete surveys, use an app, or track anything on your own. All participation happens during the single study visit.
Additional Notes
The study does not provide test results, but the team can help you find free and reliable STI testing in your area if you would like it.
Participants will receive $40 for their time and for providing samples during the study. Transportation support, like bus tokens or a parking voucher, may also be available to help you get to your visit.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
