IVF Patient Experiences
Remote Research Study

Researchers at Columbia University are conducting a study to better understand the experiences of people currently undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). Through interviews with current IVF patients, researchers hope to learn which parts of the IVF journey are most important to study and how those experiences can help improve future fertility care and research.

Assigned female at birth

Compensation
up to $30

Conducted remotely for New York State residences

Additional Information

Researchers want to hear directly from people who are currently undergoing IVF about their experiences throughout the process. The information shared will help identify which patient experiences are most meaningful to study and guide the development of future research on IVF patient experiences.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Currently undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF)
  • Currently taking IVF medication
  • Assigned female at birth
  • Live in New York State
  • Ages 18+
  • Cannot have completed all IVF steps

If you are eligible and choose to participate:

  1. Researchers will review your eligibility based on a few screening questions.
  2. You will be invited to participate in a virtual interview conducted through Microsoft Teams.
  3. The interview will last approximately one hour and will focus on your experiences as an IVF patient, including which experiences you believe are important to study and how they might be shared for future research.
  4. Your feedback will help inform future studies designed to better understand the IVF patient experience.
  5.

Participants who complete the interview will receive $30 for their time and participation.

The interview is conducted virtually, so no transportation is required.

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
