Researchers want to learn whether short videos, like the ones you might see on TikTok or Instagram, are engaging, helpful, and easy to understand for adults who smoke. The information gathered will help improve future smoking cessation resources.
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- 18 + years old
- Smoking at least 3 cigarettes daily
- Interested in quitting or cutting down on smoking
- Willing to wear a heart rate monitor for the study
- Access to a smart phone or tablet
- Able to read and write in English
If eligible to participate in the study:
- Complete a brief phone screening to see if you qualify.
- If eligible, receive a link to begin the virtual study.
- Complete a baseline survey.
- Watch four short videos, answering a short survey after each one.
- Complete a final survey about your overall experience and opinions.
Yes. Participants who complete the study will receive a $20 Amazon or Walmart gift card, sent by email after all study activities have been completed.
