Research Study
Researchers at Biological Specialty Company are looking for adults ages 18-50 who have been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease and are willing to donate plasma. Plasma donated in this study will help advance treatment and improve diagnostic tools for Hashimoto’s disease.

Researchers are collecting plasma from adults with Hashimoto’s disease to help advance treatment and improve diagnostic tools for the condition.
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Ages 18-50
- Diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease
- Weigh 110 lbs or more
- Willing to donate plasma
- Able to visit the donor center in Colmar, PA or Johnson City, TN
Exclusion Criteria:
- Infectious diseases, including HIV, hepatitis B (HBV), or hepatitis C (HCV)
Screening Visit (In Person)
- Visit the donor center for a screening appointment
- Provide small blood samples to test your thyroid antibody levels
Plasma Donation (In Person)
- If you qualify, return to donate plasma through a process called apheresis
- Eligible participants may become recurring plasma donors
Participants may receive up to $1000 if they are eligible to donate plasma twice.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
