Study Background
Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh are examining sleep and eating behaviors in adolescents.
In this study, we will look at eating, cognition, and sleep in children between the ages of 8 and 12. In the long term, we hope that having a greater understanding of these factors can help us identify neurodevelopmentally appropriate tools and techniques to optimize mental health interventions aimed at targeting maladaptive eating in children.
Participants in our study, which will include children ages 8-12 and their parent or caregiver, will attend in-person visits at our lab office in Pittsburgh. During these visits, they will meet with research personnel, complete questionnaires and interviews, and provide information on their habits, life experiences, and health outcomes.
