The Neurodevelopment of Overcontrol (NOA) Study examines how perfectionism and a high need for control develop in children.
Researchers are conducting a study for 4-7-year-old children to examine their development. The main goal of the study is to look at how kids who differ in control experience moods and thoughts, interact with their caregivers and peers and develop over time.
Participants will attend study visits, answer surveys, and complete activities and a safe/non-invasive EEG.
Understanding how the need for control develops may help us improve mental health in children and help them live happier, healthier lives. Help us start the conversation about mental health!
