Additional Information

We are looking to better understand the experiences of LGBTQ+ couples.

You may qualify for a study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Ages 18+
  • In a committed relationship where both partners identify as LGBTQ+
  • Both partners use alcohol
  • Both partners willing to participate in the study
  • Speak English

The study involves two components. First, we will ask you and your partner to complete a one-time online survey from home. This survey will take about 1 hour to complete. Second, we will ask you and your partner to complete a brief daily check-in online each morning over 60 days; each check-in should take no more than 10 minutes.

Each of you will receive $50 for the initial online survey. You and your partner will receive $5 for each daily survey you complete—up to $300 total—for the series of 60 daily check-ins.  You and your partner can also earn a bonus of $50 for completing at least 50 daily check-ins. Therefore, each of you can earn up to $400 in total compensation (up to $800 as a couple).

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
