Study Background

Researchers at the University of Chicago are conducting a study in children ages 6 months-5 years to learn more about brain activity during playtime.

Each study includes a one-time visit, lasting up to one hour. Children will partake in short experiments, where eye movements and brain activity will be passively measured during playtime.

If you are the parent of a child aged 6 months-5 years, with no developmental delays, you may be eligible to participate. Parking and childcare is provided.

You may qualify for a study if you meet the following criteria.

Qualified Participants:

  • Parent of child ages 6 months-5 years
  • Child has no developmental delays
  • Child born full-term
  • Parent speaks English with child at least 75% of time

Each study involves a one-time visit to the lab at the University of Chicago, lasting up to one hour. During the study, participants will partake in short children’s science experiments, which include passively recording eye movements, brain activity, and play time.

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.

Qualified participants will receive up to $70.
