Study Background
Researchers at the Medical University of South Carolina are conducting a study with individuals who are currently receiving medication for opioid use disorder and having trouble sleeping.
Buprenorphine is a common treatment for opioid use disorder, but sometimes has the side effect of disrupting sleep. In this research study, we want to help by testing a sleep intervention app for people who are taking medication for opioid use disorder. The app utilizes evidence-based approaches and activities, as well as a daily sleep log.
Eventually, the findings of this study might be useful for treating sleep disruption and improving people’s quality of life while recovering from opioid use disorder.
