Study Background

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is conducting a study with mothers of infants under 7 months.

This research study aims to evaluate the effects of different feeding styles on infant growth and development. We will compare the effects of these feeding styles on 24-hour glycemic response over 7 days, physical activity over 7 days, sleep patterns, and infant growth at 6 – 7 months.

The study requires a 1–3 hour visit when the infant is 6 – 7 months old and a follow-up visit a week after to return the equipment.

This research study aims to evaluate the effects of different feeding styles on infant growth and development.

You may qualify for a study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Women ages 18+
  • Mother of infant under 7 months
  • Identify as Hispanic/Latina
  • Infant was born as a single birth

Participation in this study requires a 1–3 hour visit when the infant is 6 – 7 months old, the wearing of a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and two movement sensors for 7 days, and a follow-up visit a week after to return the equipment. 

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.

Eligible participants will be compensated up to $130 for their time. Travel and parking will also be compensated.
