Study Background
The University of Arizona is conducting the Families And Lung Cancer Outcomes Network (FALCON) Study.
The FALCON Study will look at the health and well-being of people diagnosed with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Findings from this study will explore the social and cultural factors associated with lung cancer outcomes.
Participants will be asked to complete surveys online or by phone at three different time points: after providing consent, at 6 weeks, and at 12 weeks.

Additional Information
This study is being done to improve our understanding of the health and well-being of people who are diagnosed with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. We are interested in understanding the social, cultural, and personal factors associated with being diagnosed, treated, and living with lung cancer.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Diagnosed with Stage III or Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer
- Identify as Hispanic or Non-Hispanic White
- Received diagnosis in the last 4 months
- Speak English or Spanish
Once enrolled, this study involves:
Completing surveys online or by phone at baseline within a week of consent (approximately 30-60 minutes), 6 weeks after baseline (approximately 20-30 minutes), and 12 weeks after baseline (approximately 20-30 minutes)
Signing a HIPAA release waiver allowing the study team to access participants’ medical records to confirm a lung cancer diagnosis and collect other key information for the study
Participants will be compensated $50 for completing the first survey, $25 for the 6-week survey, and $25 for the 12-week survey ($100 total if all surveys are completed). All compensation is paid via digital Amazon gift cards.
