Study Background

CUAnschutz is seeking healthy volunteers without a history of medical conditions affecting weight and energy metabolism who have not used cannabis in the past year

Findings from this research study will help us understand the effect of cannabis use on metabolic and appetite hormones.

Participants will complete questionnaires and participate in a meal challenge. The meal challenge involves collection of blood to estimate hormone levels. Participants will have their initial blood draw, which is followed by consuming a standardized nutritional shake.

Participants will then have their blood drawn every 30 minutes across three hours. We will also collect data on participant’s hunger, appetite, satiety, and thirst at each blood draw.
