Researchers at NYU Langone Health are studying whether the antipsychotic medication clozapine works better than usual antipsychotic treatment for adults with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Diagnosed with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
- Ages 18–65
Exclusion Criteria:
- Pregnant or nursing
Overall Duration
- This is a 24-week (6-month) study.
Study Visits
- Baseline assessment and medical screening
- Randomization into one of two study groups: clozapine or another antipsychotic medication
- Weekly study visits for 6 months
