Older Adults
Research Study
This study is looking at whether a form of Vitamin B3 may help support brain health and memory in older adults. While Vitamin B3 has shown promise in supporting healthy brain function, researchers do not yet know if it can improve memory in older adults from racial minority groups. This 8-week study will examine whether taking this form of Vitamin B3 can improve brain health and memory and help researchers better understand its potential benefits.

In-Lab Activities
Participants will attend study visits at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. During these visits, they will complete memory and cognitive tests, answer questions about their health, and take part in other study assessments. Participants will also receive the study supplement, which is a form of Vitamin B3, or a placebo (a pill that resembles the supplement bud does not contain any active ingredient) and researchers may collect blood samples to help measure health changes during the study.
Information collected during the study will be kept private. Study data may be recorded and stored securely, but participants’ personal information will be protected.
At-Home Activities
At home, participants will take the study supplement as instructed throughout the 8-week study. They may also be asked to keep track of their supplement use and report any changes in their health or any side effects.
Participants may receive up to $200 in gift cards for their time.
