Conducted Remotely

Study Background

Researchers at Boys Town National Research Hospital are conducting a study to investigate how the words a child already knows may affect their ability to learn new words.

In this study, researchers are investigating phonological networks (groups of similar-sounding words) and word learning to better understand why children may find some words more difficult to learn than others.

This fully remote study will consist of up to 3 Zoom video calls, each lasting approximately 60 minutes. During sessions, children will learn the names of cartoon aliens and complete various language and cognitive assessments. Sessions can be scheduled on weekdays or weekends.

Participants will receive up to $75 and a pair of headphones is included!
