Researchers are conducting this study to better understand how a study medication is processed in the bodies of breastfeeding women and whether it passes into breast milk. The information collected may help improve scientific knowledge and support the future development and evaluation of medications for breastfeeding populations.
You may be eligible to participate if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Women 18 years of age or older
- Currently breastfeeding or lactating
- Generally healthy
- Willing to provide breast milk samples
- Willing to complete all required study visits
If you appear to qualify, a member of the research team will review the study requirements with you and answer any questions before enrollment.
If you decide to participate, you will first complete a screening to determine if you qualify. If you are eligible, you will attend scheduled study visits, which may include an inpatient stay and outpatient clinic visits depending on the study. During participation, you may provide breast milk samples, blood samples, and health information, and you will be monitored by the study team throughout the research.
Compensation is provided for time and participation.
Participants may also receive study-related perks such as meals and snacks during clinic stays, study-related health assessments, physician oversight, laboratory testing, and access to certain test results when permitted by the study protocol. Available amenities and perks vary by study.
